Carlson Software has announced the purchase of all assets of DotSoft. Terry Dotson, the author of all DotSoft products, was a fully self-taught programming expert who developed hundreds of utility programs to make the work of surveyors, engineers, mapping technicians and CAD operators in general more productive. Terry had worked directly for Carlson for over a decade, bringing his products to the company, before returning to private business. Terry passed away very recently, and the Dotson family and Carlson Software have concluded a purchase on favorable terms for both parties, recognizing Terry's contributions to the CAD marketplace and to Carlson Software itself over the years.
Carlson Software pledges to carry forward Terry's work by remaining responsive to DotSoft customers, providing tech support service and by improving on the software itself. We will follow up in the coming weeks with further announcements, and any immediate inquiries concerning Dotsoft may be directed to Carlson Software through the Contact page.
Thank you for your patience in this matter, and we share with all of you our deep respect for Terry Dotson's contributions to our industry, our sympathies with his family and sorrow at his recent passing.

This new product overcomes the limits and problems associated with placement of Excel spreadsheets and Word documents inside Autodesk Revit. It instantly draws the Excel spreadsheet in Revit using native geometry and links it. The results are lines, fills and mtext that can plot without problems and is highly portable to others. RevitOffice+ also contains numerous other tools to increase your productivity.
Lisp4CAD is a collection of over 300 Lisp functions to increase CAD Productivity in CAD environments where our regular products aren't compatible. That includes legacy AutoCAD along with AutoCAD for Mac (2021 and higher), BricsCAD Classic/Lite for PC, Mac and Linux. Many of the tools utilize DCL dialog boxes for cleaner display of information and input.

This release brings several improvements. First we added backward compatibility with older versions of Excel (back to 2000) and the ability to create older drawing files (2000 format). We also added the ability to 'Color By Layer' all objects (fills, lines, and text) so that the colors can be controlled by changing the color assigned to the layers. Several other improvements including faster generation of drawings and more.

We anticipated the limitations of VBA beginning with AutoCAD 2008 (64-bit) and migrated all VBA code to the managed .NET API. Autodesk later confirmed that VBA would be discontinued in future AutoCAD releases. As a result, our current products contain absolutely no AutoCAD VBA code, ensuring long-term compatibility and stability.
All products are fully 64-bit compatible and free of legacy 32-bit Windows dependencies. No files are written to system folders; all components reside entirely within the application directory. With proper licensing, the software can even be copied between machines, making deployment flexible and reliable.
