There are dozens of new functions in ToolPac 7.0, along with many improvements to existing tools.
| Drawing | |
| Search: | Search quickly through multiple drawings for specified word strings, while specifying which objects and tables to search. Because of the way strings are compressed in a dwg file, you can't use Windows Search. This tool utilizes the extremely fast ObjectDBX included in AutoCAD 2000 or higher which allows us to open drawings like a database, not inside the editor. Testing on an average machine (800mhz, IDE drive) on roughly 100 files totaling over 90mb returned the results in less than 30 seconds.

| Query Import: | Query from multiple drawings importing matching results into current drawing. Sometimes you want to bring in geometry from multiple drawing, based on locations and properties you specify. This tool can search through dozens or hundreds of drawings and very quickly bring the matching results into the current drawing.

| Repath: | Changes hardcoded image, xref, style, and shape paths in multiple drawings. Hardcoded paths can cause problems when a collection of drawings is moved to a different drive/path, or sent to another user. Once translation tables are established, they can saved to disk for later recall.

| Multiple DXF Import: | Insert multiple DXF files in one operation.

| Alternate Open Dialog: | Alternative file open dialog with multiple layouts and drawing properties. Tabs exist on all three layouts for a list, details, or history of previously opened drawings. Layouts: - Normal Preview with Details, a balance of list and preview/details.
- Large Preview no Details, preview is twice as wide and tall as usual.
- No Preview or Details, maximizes the list in the dialog.

| Remove Mask: | Removes grouped masking images (and unnamed group) from a selection set of annotations. Complements the Annotation Mask tool introduced in ToolPac 6.0. |
| Case: | Changes the case of annotations to upper, lower, title, or sentence case. |

| Populate: | Populate existing insert attributes with lookup values from Excel spreadsheet or Access database. Take existing inserts with a single attribute that can belooked up in the database, and automatically fill in otherattributes based on attribute tag to field namerelations.

| Consolidate: | Processes a selection set and collects multiple inserts at the same insertion point and replaces them with a single block inheriting all like attributes. |
| Legend: | Creates a graphical legend of selected blocks with options of symbol, name, count, and description.

| Substitute: | Substitutes non-attributed blocks on existing inserts and preserves group. |
| Catalog Generator: | Builds ready to print sheets on multiple layout tabs. Options for 6, 12, 24, 54, or 108 symbols per page. Since the results are multiple layouts, its ready to plot (print) all sheets using AutoCAD. Since the actual symbol is inserted, you get maximum resolution on your output regardless of the size of the symbols.

| Place: | Generates block inserts with attributes directly from Excel spreadsheet or Access database. Once you choose a data source, you can choose insertion parameters from the fields of the data source. Or in the case of fields like scale and rotation, you can type them in. You can even place multiple block definitions by using an field in the data source for the blockname. All attributes with tags matching field names in the data source are automatically filled in.

| Generate: | Creates multiple anonymous groups of objects sharing a common insertion point. |
| Remove: | Removes all or selected groups from a drawing. Choose the list of all or only unused groups in the drawing. |
| Details: | Displays rapid details about the group of a selected object (name, description, named/unnamed, selectable) and highlights all group members. |
| Selectable: | Quickly toggles the selectability of a group by picking one of its objects. |

| Command Layers: | Eliminate the frustration of having to set a layer current before beginning a command. Simply enable the system and designate the layer to match the commands, such as layer DIM for all commands that begin with "DIM". When you begin a command the designated layer is set current, and when the command completes the previous current layer is restored. Works by reacting to the beginning (and end) of all commands, does not redefine any commands! - Editor dialog allows easy creation and changes to command layer setup.
- System On option loads the default file and turns on command layers.
- System Off option turns off command layers.

| State Manager: | Layer State Manager with extended abilities over AutoCAD Layer Dialog.

All prompt fields are controlled by initialization file you can optionally place on a server for all users to pull from. Includes an optional command for manual execution of plot logging routine and changing of settings.

- Many separate text, mtext, attribute tools consolidated into single annotation menu processing tool. Eliminates the need to know what type of object an annotation is.
- Configuration dialog changed to tabbed dialog with more (and better organized) settings.
