Surface Stage Storage

Postby Lincoln » Fri Apr 10, 2015 3:13 pm

This is an old, but highly used command (Stage-Storage). It exports to a text file now, but it is frustrating and difficult for some reason to get into Excel, and have the columns line up.

We need to add Stage Storage to MapWorks, is the Civil tool so "old and frustrating" that we should consider including it in Gizmo?

Suggested Improvements:

-Allow the User to pick the desired Civil 3D contours, instead of having to use the whole surface.
-Add the ability to create a Stage-Storage-Discharge table by allowing the User to enter orifice and weir information (elevations can be entered or picked in the drawing).
-Add the ability to route a hydrograph through the Stage-Storage-Discharge table.
-Add the ability to go straight to Excel.
-Add all the above as an additional output option for the Pond Design tool.

Couple more points:

-We need to be able to include the lowest elevation of the pond with its subsequent contour area of ZERO to get correct volumes... We currently can't do this.
-We need to be able to pick up the top elevation of the pond since it usually doesn't just fall nicely on a contour interval...We currently can't do this.
