Blocks counts -- across a set of drawings

Postby plesseym » Wed Dec 13, 2017 8:29 am

In Bricscad the dataextraction tool is not as good as Autocad which can search and extract block data across multiple drawings. My aim is just to get a list in excel of the total number of dumb (non attribute) blocks in a set of say 20 - 50 drawings.

Toolpac 17 has drawing-> extract -> block data which is good if blocks have attributes. But if I just want to count the total number of blocks in 10 drawings this tools does not do the job.

My ideal output is like below. I know I can go individually and do the block count but it is tedious if my set of drawings is more than 5. Is there any tool I overlooked in Toolpac or elsewhere.

Ar-101
Block Name| Count
D-1 | 10
Light-10 | 23
DR-100 | 24

We will put this on the wish list so the drawing-> extract -> block data tool produces simple counts.
