MapWorks 6.0 Development

We will be providing a working build of MapWorks 6.0 soon to existing users that are interested in the developing code. A lot of new functionality will come in from the Gizmo3D cycle and much more will be added during the remainder of the year.

Civil3D: It's very important to remember that from this new version forward, MapWorks will no longer support Civil3D objects. It will be primarily for plain AutoCAD and BricsCAD. Civil3D users of older MapWorks need to determine their needs and most will want to look at the Gizmo3D project on the other forum.

During this split, the current build (for any given version) is actually two code modules (DLLs). There is one for the newer ported code (refined for direct CAD engine connectivity) and another for the code we haven't had time to process. That will look and feel exactly like 5.0 for now. Over the next two months or so the refined module will grow in size while the old one shrinks.

While waiting for the build, registered forum users are welcome to begin posting new ideas on this forum. Please separate each item in a different post (otherwise we will have to).

Note that all descriptions of product enhancements from this point forward describe functionality coming the next release version 6.0 (estimated Fall/Winter 2015).
