Converts cross sections to plan view 3dPolys along an alignment. Requires a centerline alignment and sections (as polylines). All the polylines used to create a surface must be in one layer. For example if a EG/FG scenario exists, all the existing ground section polylines must be in one layer (example EG) while all finished ground polylines reside in another (example FG).

I have attached the drawing that is shown in the picture. First make sure you have an alignment and properly prepared sections. The alignment polyline must be assigned a name using Alignments > Tag Info. Otherwise the minimum requirement is an MTEXT object at the horizontal center of the section polyline(s). This mtext label must contain two numbers (one over top the other) that is the station (distance along) and the elevation (at that point in the section).

You can then optionally have TEXT objects along the section to identify breaks that you want connected. In the example there are four text labels (EP1L, EP1R, EP2L, EP2R) and they form four 3dpolys in plan view when done. Use only (1) MTEXT object for the center, as many TEXT as needed.

Be sure to spread your sections out if they are close together, otherwise problems can occur. If you have specific questions, reply here or email me.

Sorry that looks like it requires a Google login, and I'm afraid we don't understand Spanish.
