Calcing and labeling manhole inverts (measure downs)

Is there a function that will allow me to calculate my pipe invert elevations off a manhole shot? We have an old lisp routine (DLL) that allows us to click on a point, tell it how many inverts we have and then input the measure down information. The output is in mtext, but we now have to make edits to this mtext every time. I'm hoping there is something similar that I've missed in my search.

There is not currently a tool to do this, but sounds like it could be added fairly easily. The question is the MTEXT label the best label resulting object? Regardless it could be made somewhat dynamic in that changes to the source data would recalculate and update the label.

Can you email me (dotson at dotsoft dot com) a small drawing file with 2-3 of these in it?
