Feature Line - Create Flowline

We need a tool that will create a Feature Line at a user specified longitudinal grade, while maintaining a user specified cross slope relative to another feature line. Examples: You need to create a 2% swale in the greenbelt behind the homes. You need the 2% swale flowline to be at a 4:1 cross slope...

Re: Feature Line - Quick Daylight

The type of grading that corridors and grading objects execute in Civil 3D is lateral projection grading. This new command is the projection of a feature line in the same sense.

So the term Projection would be more appropriate. Extend typically refers to an operation coming off the end of an object.

2) Select the surface
3) Pick the side to daylight to and the desired daylight slope
4) The routine create a new feature line with elevations from the selected surface located at the desired projected slope away from the original feature line.

Re: Feature Line - Offset to Intersecting Slopes

That's not taking this one further...! That's a specific separate command..

That is the old and very handy Daylight Polyline routine from LDD. Dotsoft could easily do that I'm sure..

Yes, this is essentially folding plane grading without having to create surfaces just to do it.

Points - Carlson Conversion

We have surveyors who use Carlson. It would be great if we could push a button and all the Carlson points transparently convert in-place to Civil 3D points, while keeping the exact same look as the original Carlson point...All the way down to the white, red and green colors..as shown in the image be...

Feature Line - Offset to Intersecting Slopes

Here is a new command idea that would be very useful for grading design: Two feature lines running adjacent to each other, at some varying distance apart. Examples: Could be a Toe featureline at the bottom of a slope, and then a Top of Bank feature line. Could be a feature line wrapped around a bui...

Re: Polyline Set Elevation

I just noticed that it only had an ALIAS of POP1.

Changed that to POP499 and it now shows up.
