 CorePro Overview

CorePro 3.0 is a Geology Management System designed for rapid entry and analysis of borehole data.

It was designed to work inside AutoCAD® with your present contouring software. It can dramatically reduce the time spent preparing geologic sections, plan views, isopachs, and reports. Go from drillers logs to finely detailed plotted plan views and section plots in minutes, not hours. Estimated processing time can be less than 10 minutes per column.

An added advantage is that it does this without actually pooling all data together. This means that you simply copy a core to your data directory from another CorePro user, and it automatically becomes an integrated part of your system.

Easy Installation:  The install program can add all this functionality in a single pulldown menu inside AutoCAD.  Add CorePro to third party software and even custom menus without problems.  The installation uses a menuload process that preserves your existing toolbar configurations.

CorePro Editor

Details:The CorePro editor is designed for quick entry.  Using short lithology codes and thickness, you can rapidly enter borehole information.  The editor responds to the enter key to move forward through fields and new records, so you don't have to watch the display or click fields.

There is no limit to additional attributes you can enter.  Add (or insert) a column for entry of any type of field, text or numeric.  Use column ordering tools to move fields left/right to match supplied drillers data or lab results.  The is no limit to the number of rows, allowingdetailed breakdowns of strata.

Complete editing tools including the ability to add, insert, or delete rows and columns at any position.

Header:Along with the borehole data, you can also store any number of header fields, such as county, quad, driller, etc.
Printing:Print detailed reports with a true WYSIWYG preview.  As you change specifications the report display changes immediately.
 
   

Supporting Tools

Quick Viewer:This tool allows you to browse folders of borehole files.  Simply clicking on a file displays all of its header and borehole data along with a graphical preview.  Clicking rows in the data table shows the vertical position on the preview.  Quickly review large quantities of data.
Strata Editor:Used to establish your strata lookup table.  Consisting of the codes and corresponding long descriptions, along with default values for generated AutoCAD graphics.  A complete Ferm code file is supplied with the software.
Data Import:Import data from other software and database systems.  Contact us to arrange for additional imports.
 
   

AutoCAD Tools

Place Symbols:Select any (or all) borehole files along with a block definition and the program will place symbols in the current drawing with the parameters designated.  Block attributes matching header fields are automatically populated.  Quickly place bore symbols on topographic maps, etc.
Geologic Columns:This key visualization tool generates geologic columns inside the current drawing.  Simple select the boreholes to process and add them to a sequence list.  Control the offset (position from left) by a default offset or by station.  This works by picking two points, the program calculates the stations and populates the grid.

The results (DWF Example) are highly detailed labeled graphics.  Each column is bound as a block for easy movement in the drawing.

3D Cylinders:Generate 3D Cylinders at the real world coordinates representing the core data.  Each cylinder is at the proper elevation with the thickness from the core data.
Data Table:Creates a table object allowing you to plot borehole data along with your drawing.
This function requires AutoCAD 2005 or higher.
Data Points:Generate contourable points (AutoCAD Point Objects) on separate layers from data with strata identifiers.  This points can be modeled by any DTM software running inside AutoCAD.  When strata consists of multiple rows, the weighted average is calculated and used.
Update Coords:Updates the coordinates stored in borehole files with the values of blocks in the drawing.  For example a borehole symbol (with previously estimated coordinates) is moved to a better position on a topographic map..
Zoom To Drillhole:Pans (and optionally zooms) the display to the selected borehole.  Makes it easy to find holes in the drawing.
