| CADWrite is a low cost comprehensive word processor that runs inside of AutoCAD 2000i or higher and reads/writes Word documents as its native file format. It can either supplement your existing application or be used exclusively as your word processor. Unlike a regular word processor, CADWrite can rapidly extract information from AutoCAD for report writing and draw its documents into the drawing as mtext objects. Details: This resizable modeless dialog floats in the AutoCAD session. It's there when you need it, and doesn't interfere with AutoCADwhen you don't. You can click back and forth between its editor and AutoCAD, and it automatically comes back to the front when you switch back to AutoCAD from another application.

Draw in AutoCAD: This dialog lets you quickly draw the document inside AutoCAD as mtext bound in block. Easily control position, scale, rotation, etc. You can specify the column width to use in the drawing independent of the documents page setup. It also supports column wrapping for long documents. When the text reaches a specified height, it will move up and right to continue in the next column until completed. Long documents fit to a sheet (such as 24x36) in a single step! Object Properties Table: This dialog lets you quickly add a table of information in the document. You can select objects in the drawing then choose which fields to use in the table. Process/Action Methods: These functions let you quickly extract information from the drawing with the results placed immediately at the editors cursor position. For example distances (formatted to your settings) can be picked and placed in the document. - Directions such as azimuths and bearings.
- Distances including horizontal, vertical, and slope.
- Points in various 3D formats.
- Total length or area of a selection set.
- Import the layer table, 2005+ table objects, and text arrays.
This last option is useful for BOM text, schedules, etc.
